Assignment: to assist the Chișinău City Hall in preparing the project concept and full application package for a EU Commission grant on the topic of improving public transport in the city.

Details of the assignment:
Our team was contracted by the City Hall in our capital city, Chișinău, to offer support in building and launching a project in the area of public transport and to assist in the process of getting a grant from the EU Commission. Our intervention was successful and we offered assistance from the stage of project building up until the grant contract was signed and the first two months of project management, facilitating setting up the Project Implementation Unit. This meant managing the communication between local government representatives, partner representatives (Lublin City Hall, in Poland) and the donor (EU Commission, Bruxelles representatives and Chișinău representatives from the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova). The project launch involved complex problem solving and ensuring the smooth cooperation between all parties involved. This was a historic first for Chișinău City Hall, to act as main applicant in such a big EU Commission project with the total value of 3,500,000 EUR for a period of 4 years. The project is currently in year 2 of the implementation stage.
